Iron County Care and Share's Emergency Shelter provides a safe and compassionate environment for men, women, and children experiencing homelessness. Our shelter serves as a refuge, offering top-quality care with compassion and empathy at the core of everything we do. Each year, we provide housing for an average of 400 individuals and families, treating every client with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Upon check-in, each client meets with a caring staff member who takes the time to understand their unique situation. We recognize each person's individuality and work with them according to their level of readiness to make positive changes.

For those who stay in our shelter for more than three days, a meeting with a case manager is required. The case manager collaborates with clients to assess their barriers and develop a personalized case plan aimed at overcoming these challenges. We assist clients in applying for essential benefits, such as food stamps, health insurance, and Social Security benefits when applicable.
Thanks to the strong relationships we have built with other service providers in the area, we can quickly refer clients to the appropriate resources, ensuring they receive the comprehensive support they need to move towards stability.
