Local Businesses and Family Make Donations

The months of summer are historically the lowest donation months for the pantry. This year is no exception and the past month we received several generous donations that are helping make a difference:  Papa Murphy’s in Cedar City help a food drive in their store and collected 226 pounds of food and a bonus $6.01 in cash. Food Drive Successes

May 2016 – Stamp Out Hunger Local postal carriers collected and delivered over 5000 pounds of food from residents in Cedar City. Peanut Butter Benefits

Iron County Care and Share encourages the donation of peanut butter. Do you know why? If you spend five dollars and buy five cans of soup, your donation feeds one person, one time per day, for five days. Now, spend the same five dollars on peanut butter and bread, and your donation feeds two or three people once a day for five days.
